AUDITIIONS - THE EXCEPTIONAL CHILDHOOD CENTRE

We are seeking young actors between the age of 16 to 22 years to be part of this wonderful one act play.
When Reggie Watson is accepted into The Exceptional Childhood Center, a highly competitive preschool, he believes he’s set for life—since everyone knows that getting into the right preschool is the gateway to a successful future. But not so fast…Reggie must make it through the one-day trial period first. Desperate to prove he’s a fit, he tries too hard, and of course, disaster strikes. As his future flashes before his eyes. Reggie and his band of quirky classmates deal with the consequences of his mistake, discovering things about themselves and learning a lesson more valuable than the school could ever teach them. Adlib has brought some amazing moments to the stage over the many years, including “The Crucible”, “Cosi”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. “West Side Story”, “Before We Were Prisoners”, “Failure: A Love Story”,” Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency” and “Harvey” The Exceptional Childhood Centre was successfully presented around the Victoria One Act Pay circuit in 2016, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to restage it in December 2021, Rehearsals are being held Thursdays, Term 3 – 7pm to 8pm, and Term 4 -7pm to 8.30pm Location: St Andrews Church Hall, 105 Princes Hwy, Berwick

CONDITIONS OF CASTING It is expected that all cast attend every rehearsal and performance. Failure to attend could result in recasting of roles. Failure to attend three rehearsals in a row could result in recasting of roles All cast must be committed to actively participate in classes and abide by an appropriate code of conduct. Inappropriate language, harassment and bullying will not be tolerated. Cast will be required to contribute toward all facets of the production, including costuming, sound, lighting and props. Cast are also expected to participate in all fundraising activities for their productions.
FACEBOOK GROUP There is a Facebook group dedicated to communication for all cast members, as well as production team. Much of the correspondence from the director and production team will be through this page. If you do not have access to Facebook, please discuss alternative arrangements with the production team.
