BROADWAY LIGHTS PRODUCTION JUNE 2020

The magic of musical theatre should be open to everyone. The excitement of being part of cast onstage, performing as one, in a big group number. The enjoyment of rehearsing with other kids, who have now become your close friends. The joy of recognition from family and friends for a job well done.

The confidence that grows with each week, and each show. That is musical theatre. This is for your child.

ALL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A PART IN THE PRODUCTION!

That is why, for the last 11 years, we have offered the Broadway Lights classes at Adlib. We are continually endeavoring to offer young performers new and exciting opportunities. Broadway lights, has been designed to enable students to learn about the process of a musical, from auditions to performance. This course, was created to give a unique experience to students between the age of 7 – 14 years.

Our first production for 2020 will be from the MTI Kids Musical collection and will offer opportunity for all children to shine. Whether it is their first time onstage or because they already have a passion for singing and performing, this is the perfect experience for young actors/singers aged 7 to 14 years.

INFORMATION SESSION – St Andrew’s Church Hall, 105 Princes Hwy, Berwick.

Saturday 1st February from 1.30pm to 3.30pm,

Students will participate in fun warm activities and games. We will then discuss character information and audition requirements. There will be a read through of the script with everyone singing along to songs in the show.

All children who are fully enrolled in the course will receive a copy of the script on the information day.

Auditions will be held on Saturday 8th February. Auditions times can be booked at https://www.trybooking.com/BHOXL

The auditions will run from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and will include each child presenting a song, a short read and some fun games.

Please find below important information and dates which will assist in making this wonderful show a positive and hassle free experience.

Cast are expected at every rehearsal, at all times. Note that rehearsals do run on long weekends. Please put all dates below in your calendar to avoid all confusion. If for any reason your child is sick and cannot attend a rehearsal, please contact Donna on 0412 099 462.

This fee includes a rehearsals, production, and costuming. Each cast member will receive hard copies of scripts and song lyrics to keep. All the music required will be available by the drop box for you to download on your devices. There will be also be special production tee shirt

The Course Fee is $220. (This includes rehearsal fee, script, downloadable rehearsal and performance tracks)
Production Fee $40. (This includes costume levi and theatre rehearsal)
Show Tee Shirt $30

All cast will need to complete their enrolment, including fee payment, by Wednesday 12th February, failure to enrol may result in their role being recast.

ENROL NOW FOR SEMESTER 1, 2020

The classes/rehearsals for the show are held at St Andrew’s Church Hall, 105 Princes Hwy, Berwick. Rehearsals are as follows:

Saturdays 1.30pm to 3.30pm through the term 1 and 2.

On Saturday 6th June and Saturday 13th June, the classes will extend to 4.30pm for the compulsory dress rehearsals and the photo shoot.

PERFORMANCES – Starbright Theatre, Berwick Fields Primary School.

Saturday 20th June (two performances)
