Adlib Young Performers are delighted to announce their new Movement and Dance classes, which compliment and enhance our popular drama, singing and theatre programme.  All classes are held in Berwick.  For further details call 9707 2036

TINY TOTS   AGES 4-6    SATURDAYS 9.00AM

Children are encouraged to express themselves in a fun and safe environment through the forms of music and movement. Singing and dancing is a fantastic way for children to enhance all forms of their developmental skills, including physical, social, fine motor and gross motor skills. Children will learn about the art of dance and music in a fun and exciting way. In each class, the children will learn the basic foundations of music and movement through personal expression, group games, imaginative play, stories and basic choreography. Children will gain confidence and build a passion for the performing arts.

SHOWBIZZ!     AGES 7-11       SATURDAYS 11.15AM

This class offer students the opportunity to learn more intricate choreography without the pressure of external examination or competition. This class is an extension of our tiny tots classes. At this age, students are developing more confidence in performing and are enabled to take part in more complex routines, appropriate to their age and ability. Like Tiny Tots, this class combines singing and dancing in a fun, stress free environment. Like all Adlib programs, ShowBizz! encourages the development of social skills and an enthusiasm for the performing arts. Students will learn about light and shade in songs and choreography, they will develop stage presence and audition skills, and will be encouraged to push the boundaries of their comfort zone in a safe and supportive environment. Children will complete new goals each semester that will enhance their skills and knowledge in a non-competitive way.

DANCING DIVAS       AGES 12 – ADULT      SATURDAYS 1.15PM

This class is designed for students to expand their knowledge of dance in a fun and encouraging class setting. Students will learn four routines throughout over the duration of the course, from four different styles that will inspire them to broaden their horizons and think more comprehensively about dance. This class is suited to anyone above the age of 12 years with no prior certification or past experience required. Each student will sit down with their tutor to discuss a set of goals they would like to achieve over the course of program, which will then be reflected on and assessed at the end of the year. Students will participate in a showcase performance to exhibit their new skills and talents and to celebrate their achievements. They will gain skills relevant to all aspects of dance, including: balance, fitness, strength, flexibility, agility and power. Each student will be given the opportunity to work one on one with their tutor and will be given guidance to achieve their desired goals. This is a fantastic program for Senior and Production Class students to compliment their drama & performance tuition and expand their repertoire as students of the Performing Arts.
